I’ve worked with Nick for over four years, and I can honestly say that I’ve continually grown, progressed and learnt under his mentorship.
His attention to detail and the way he conveys his knowledge is like no other. I’ve always felt so comfortable to ask his opinion about any case I’ve had with the complete confidence that he will help without judgement and with the best knowledge in the field. He has nurtured me to become the best practitioner I could be, and I can say with complete confidence, I wouldn’t be half the practitioner I am today without his guidance.
As a passionate health care practitioner, there is nothing better than talking shop with a someone that has been in the trenches and mastered their craft.
As a passionate health care practitioner, there is nothing better than talking shop with a someone that has been in the trenches and mastered their craft. I have a lot of respect for Nick, for what he stands for and practices every day at Balance Health and Performance. Throughout the course we discussed and workshopped assessment approaches, differential diagnosis, rehabilitation, business and personality types. All which helps to clarify and simplify your approach to treatment, which has had a massive positive carry-over into my day to day practise since.
If you are a passionate, switched on practitioner, this is the perfect environment to workshop and discuss ideas and concepts that will help your day to day practise.

I have worked with Nick for around 4 years. Initially I approached Nick because I was in pain and needed help to fix my movement. I had seen many physios/chiros and no one could seem to get to the root of my problems.
Nicks way of thinking and obsession with figuring out problems was what attracted me at first. But, as someone who works in the industry I loved going to see Nick. I drove from the northern beaches to Bondi almost weekly for a period of time not just for treatment, but because I learnt so much during my sessions. Rather than just treating me we would spend sessions talking about movement. Not only did I learn how to critically think about my own movement but I also learnt how to apply it when working with my clients. Win win!
More recently our relationship has naturally developed. We went from talking about movement to talking about my business and how I was going on that front. Nick has been genuinely interested and passionate about helping me develop not only as a coach. But as a business owner as well. Through our conversations over the years he has got to know me pretty well. So from this he has helped me realise what it is I am really good at, and where I fit in the fitness industry. This has been a game changer for me. Understanding how to actually let people know what I am doing with my current clients to attract people who are in need of my services. He asked me some hard questions and helped my better understand the areas I personally needed to focus on to be successful. Simple, Step by step processes that have allowed me to plan for future success

My biggest take away is definitely looking at the biomechanics of movement and how the upper and lower limbs are tied together. It’s a must for anyone involved in human movement and performance.
Also identifying different subgroups of people and adopting different approaches with them was also very useful. It’s something that we’ve never been taught formally and we’ve slowly picked up with experience. The communication style we use and the way we structure our sessions with a process vs outcome-focused client is very different. I know I’ve struggled with this and also seeing more junior team members have the same challenge.
